Brian Chic with Bucheimer whipBrian Chic (a.k.a. Lord Of The Lash, Whip Wizard, and The Scourge Of Old Kentucky) picked up his first whip while on vacation with his family in Juarez, Mexico.

He was six years old.

With constant practice, he developed through the years a natural aptitude combining ease with graceful fluidity.

At age fourteen, he originated the "self-wrap", a stylish figure popularized twenty-two years later by Michelle "Catwoman" Pfeiffer in BATMAN RETURNS.

It has since been imitated by many of today's leading whip artists.

The art of the bullwhip.
In 1989, Brian enjoyed the rare privilege of appearing with other "Legends Of The Lash" in the ground-breaking videocassette THE ART OF THE BULLWHIP, the first ever of its kind to represent the subject. It is still available today (and on DVD) from Mark Allen Productions.

When not "engaged in whippery (!)", he's additionally entertaining with his stylized "performance comedy" as well as rendering many standards from the 20's, 30's, and 40's on the piano.

Since the early 1980's, he has worked in film, television, music videos, and today is still seen performing as a favorite at many of Southern California's leading night spots.

And while dedicated to elevating the status of the whip in the performing arts, Brian also has had the honor to work with many of Hollywood's loveliest showgirls as his partner.

Among the other whip luminaries to benefit and/or be inspired by his example include Guinness Book celebrity Robert Dante, Danielle West, and Anthony DeLongis.
